The digital transport contract falls into the category of rental ships, allowing the owner and a tenant to conduct a financial transaction in accordance with the strictest rules in the maritime field and customs regulation, involving fuel pricing that will be paid for by a tenant (tax-free blue or with VAT, white with or without VAT).

The advantage of a digital transport contract compared to a traditional transport contract is the digitization of the document on a secure server, using a QR-code system that can be automatically controlled by customs agents to prevent VAT and TICPE fraud in Europe. The secure file includes: a boarding pass, navigation of the ship based on AIS and a transport contract available to the captain to note any amendments. This approach is already known in aviation, similar to boarding at airports.

This exchange allows the owner to protect against poorly informed commercial agents in the yachting industry about customs regulations. The digital transport contract for small and large leisure boats is protected by the patented INPI (DSO2023004789).
